Rediscovering the Delights of Shakespeare

We are hoping to gather a group of people who still have a Complete Shakespeare on their shelves and never get round to enjoying the contents. That is not an entry provision just an introduction to how we came to this idea.

We are not thinking to produce plays or tread the boards or lecture each other. We would like the group to be laissez-faire and develop an ambience of fun and research into the beauty of the language and the whole romance and depth of the dialogue, both plays and sonnets.

We don't necessarily think it should preclude people who have never experienced this vocabulary but would doubt it suitable. This is about enjoying what we already know, and reminding ourselves and aiming at some progress, but not working too hard!

It is hoped to be held at Maypole Hall which will mean a small donation.
