We are just another Stroud u3a Interest Group and this is our Group page! Please consider joining our Committee to help make Stroud u3a the best it can be for our members, by our members. Don't be shy!

We meet together, usually once a month, with a common interest which is ensuring our members have the maximum opportunities to learn, laugh and live their best u3a experience. We aim for a fairly informal and relaxed approach to meetings ensuring we get all the essential stuff done in as little time as possible so that we have the maximum time available to consider how we can make our u3a even better. Being on the Committee need not be as onerous as people generally think and we always need help to carry out all the necessary functions and make the best of our u3a. So, please, consider joining our Committee. To do so, we suggest contacting either our chair or our secretary for a chat in the first instance - though feel free to talk to any Committee member you like and they will help you!

We have role descriptions available for all of our Committee Roles on request. Email our Secretary, Richard Bedford for more information.

We welcome volunteers to help out on or around our Committee and can often adjust Committee roles to suit our members. No-one is too precious about their specific roles, so please consider having a chat even if you are not sure what role might fit you best.

Subgroups

We currently have one subgroup which does some of the practical work on behalf of the Committee.

Communications Group

This groups is led by Peter Furtado and helps to produce things like leaflets, banners, posters, videos and other promotional or marketing materials as well as ensuring our regular communications with members through our newsletter, social media etc. continue to improve. The meetings are very informal with no formal notes or minutes - the group simply gets on with their job referring back to the Committee for any money required or to ensure that leaflets or posters etc. are correct in all respects.
