This works on similar lines to how book clubs work, ie. members would watch a particular film at home (this would likely be via a streaming service, e.g. BBC iPlayer or equivalent).
We then meet up afterwards to discuss the film, why it was chosen, our likes/dislikes, how it relates to modern culture or culture of the time it was released, or any other discussion points raised.
Meeting venue for the discussions, possibly a coffee shop, pub, or members house depending on the number of members. Meetings monthly.
There would also be a small number of cinema visits interspersed with the home viewings, following which we could discuss over lunch, coffee & cake or however the members would like to meet for these special occasions.
