Calling all Drama and Theatre fans!

My name is Sheila and I have been involved with Drama and Theatre Arts for 34 years, both as an educator and director/producer. I have worked with adults and children of all ages and abilities. I have devised and led groups in improvised pieces as well as scripted drama, e.g. Shakespeare's "Macbeth" and Miller's "The Crucible."

My productions have included community projects, street theatre and performances for schools and health authorities, ranging from "West Side Story" to an anti-smoking improvised piece.

I am very excited and looking forward to working with members of Stroud u3a on various aspects of drama and theatre including improvisation, drama games, mime and scripted performances. The work of the group could be shared with family and friends if the members were ready for public performances. The course will cater for those who are beginners as well as more experienced performers. Just bring your enthusiasm, sense of fun and willingness to have a go!

Sessions will run on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 10.30 to 12.30 at my house in Brimscombe. Do please come and join us! Use your various life experiences in our performances if you want to and let's enjoy the magical world of Drama together!
