We organise periodic Adult First Aid courses run by members of the Red Cross. We need a minimum of 10 members to book a date for the course and, ideally, 15 to keep the cost per person down as low as possible. A maximum of 15 per course is set by the Red Cross. They offer their services for free! The charge we make is just to cover the cost of the venue hire.

If you have done a First Aid course a while ago, you will find advice and practice has changed considerably. You won't spend time on this course practising bandaging wounds or making slings but you will get some very practical and simple advice as to what to do (and what not to do) if faced with someone in need of medical assistance.

Please contact Richard Bedford if you are a member of Stroud u3a and are interested in joining in one of these courses.

The course will normally start at 2pm and will last for just over 2 hours, so finish by 4.30pm latest.
