This is a new group which is complementary to, but different from, our Current Affairs Group.  Initially, we will try a single subject for each session.  A member volunteers in advance to lead on a subject - maybe a social issue, maybe a cultural, philosophical, humorous or other subject.   We can discuss anything you like! (But please be aware that the u3a expects members not to promote any party political or particular religious views). The volunteer introduces the item, speaking for no more than ten minutes, and then it will be opened out to the group for more in-depth exploration and discussion.  This initial approach can be adapted as the group develops according to members’ wishes.
